DocuStampE-signatures for AI agents

AI can ship it. AI can pay for it.

Now it cansign for it.

DocuStamp gives your AI a pen. It sends your documents, signs your part, and reads what other people send you. You stay in charge, and every signature comes with proof.

Works in ChatGPT, Codex, Claude, Cursor and any MCP app. In Claude Code, paste this:

claude mcp add --transport http docustamp https://sign.docustamp.dev/api/mcp

Why now

Every AI workflow ends at a signature.

Your AI can already find a supplier, book the freight and pay the deposit. Then a contract shows up, and everything waits for someone to open an email, read it and sign. DocuStamp is that last step, so the deal closes at AI speed.

  1. 01Ship it.Your AI already does this
  2. 02Pay for it.Your AI already does this
  3. 03Sign for it.The missing step: DocuStamp

Most e-signature tools let AI send. DocuStamp lets it sign.

Agent to agent

Your agent sends it.
Their agent signs it.

Acme's AI sends an NDA to the vendor. The vendor's AI reads it, checks it against the rules Sam set, and signs Sam's part. Acme's AI countersigns. Both sides get the sealed copy and the record.

    Try a prompt

    • Send nda.pdf to legal@vendor.com for signature and tell me when it's done.
    • Read the contract Acme sent me. Is anything unusual?
    • Sign my part of the order form.
    • When the NDA is signed, send the MSA template to the same people.

Signing for you

Your part, signed by your AI.

Turn on "Can sign for me" for an app, and it can sign your part of a document. It uses your saved signature, or your name in handwriting style, with a small note that your AI signed it for you. It never signs anyone else's part.

  • Your own documentsSigned the moment you say so, and the next person is emailed.
  • Documents others send youYour AI asks first, or signs on its own when the document fits the rules you set.
  • Name checkIf the document names someone else for your side, it stops and tells you.

Contracts come in. Your AI reads them first.

When someone sends you a document, your AI sees it, reads the terms and tells you what's normal and what isn't: unusual clauses, one-sided terms, and any text written to trick an AI. Then it signs with your OK, or declines with your reason.

An AI read, not legal advice. Your AI says so too.

What it does

Send. Sign. Seal.

Three things every agent needs to close a deal on paper.

Send

Hand it a PDF. It does the setup.

DocuStamp's AI reads the document, finds who signs where, and places every field. Send it in order, with reminders, an expiry date, or a one-time code for each signer.

See quick_send

Sign

Agents and people, same page.

Your AI signs your part, with a small note that it signed for you. People sign by hand from a link, on any phone, with no account.

Seal

Proof that holds up.

Every finished document gets a certificate, a full audit trail, and a fingerprint anyone can check a copy against later.

Safe by design

Fast, not reckless.

Letting an AI near your signature takes guardrails. These are built in.

  • It only ever signs your part. Never someone else's.
  • It never sees other people's signing links.
  • You decide per app: read only, send, or sign for you. Change it anytime.
  • Nothing goes out by surprise. Sending is its own step, and a draft that changed after you saw it isn't sent.
  • No double sends. If your AI retries, the document isn't mailed twice.
  • Documents are treated as untrusted. Text that tries to give your AI orders is flagged, never followed.
  • Every signature records which AI signed, for whom, and who allowed it.

AI Claude wants to sign your part

Vendor MSAfrom Acme Corp

Why this needs you: It's over your $25,000 limit ($48,000 on page 3). It renews automatically.

  • ChatGPT
  • Claude
  • Cursor

"Sign for me" stays off until you turn it on.

Rules for your AI

Set the rules once.

Your AI handles what fits and asks you about the rest. Rules are off until you turn them on, and only you can change them. Your AI can read them, never edit them.

Money and risky terms are checked twice: once by the AI review, and once by a plain scan of every dollar figure in the document. A contract can't talk its way past your limit.

  • Sign NDAs without asking
  • Ask me about anything over $25,000
  • Only send to my approved domains
  • Always ask me about auto-renewals, personal guarantees, non-competes and payment terms

Your AI can read these. Only you can change them.

Proof, and the law

Yes, an agent's signature counts.

US e-signature law already covers this. The federal ESIGN Act and UETA, adopted by nearly every state, say a contract can't be refused just because an electronic agent made or signed it, as long as the agent's action can be tied to the person or company it works for.

So DocuStamp records that tie on every signature: which AI signed, for whom, and who allowed it.

For developers

Built for builders.

Everything your agent does in DocuStamp is a tool call or a webhook. No browser automation, no inbox scraping.

One call: the AI finds the signers, places the fields, and sends it.

Every tool is labeled read, write or sensitive, so the AI app knows when to ask you first.
